Wells Questions RA Candidates Must Answer
The writing is done. The printing is done. And all of the leaflet folding. Now it’s time to deliver over 500 Labour local election campaign leaflets to residents of Epsom’s Wells Estate, writes Ian Strutt.
The leaflets – supporting our three keen Stamford Ward candidates – are headlined: Thursday 2 May – Your Election Day to sweep away the RA!
The first two paragraphs of the leaflet spell out how much bad feeling the RA (Residents’ Association) has generated in the Wells. This started right from the first days after the last local election four years ago.
I quote the leaflet: “Decisions made by Epsom’s Residents’ Association (RA) council have enraged Wells residents – and our protests taken directly into the council chamber have been totally ignored by its leaders.
“Local council elections on 2 May give you your chance to eject our three Stamford Ward councillors and replace them with Labour councillors willing to fight for Wells interests.”
Stamford Ward has been more like Stamford Wars!
So, good luck on 2 May to our three candidates: Garrick Bigwood, Alexandra Payne and Amos Sibanda.
